RMH Stay With Clay

To stay at one of our three Ronald McDonald Houses is something that you can’t put in words. How you feel when you walk through the doors and automatically  feel seen and welcomed by our staff. Be confident that a cozy bed and hot meal wait for you after a long day served by our volunteers. Having a sense of relief that everyone in the house will make sure you feel as much as home as possible is something where words can’t do justice to the emotion of comfort they feel.

Our CEO, Clay Osburne, and his family decided that they wanted to see for themselves what a stay at the Ronald McDonald House was like and how they could serve the guest families that were there.

“I was there to get a snapshot of what they experienced and serve dinner through our Share-A-Meal program to bless them.

However, it was me who was blessed beyond measure.”

Clay and his family were beyond words expressing how each guest family shared so much gratitude and made his family feel like a part of theirs. They exchanged conversation and stories over a meal, opened doors for them, and made them feel seen and known in the house.

“They worked together to prepare food and clean the needed areas all while smiling and offering gratitude. How hard would it be to share gratitude during your family’s time of greatest need?!”

Clay’s son, Easton (age 11),  and daughter, Emerson (age 3), participated in serving a delicious meal of Mexican food to our guest families.

“I enjoyed helping and serving others during a time when they really needed it. I know I am blessed to not have needed RMH and it made me more aware of the struggles that other families endure. You can tell RMH is trying their best to help people in the best ways,”

Easton Osburne

From the check-in process to the volunteers in the kitchen, the guest families in the living rooms, and the exceptional staff. Clay and his family can say that their time there was something that they were grateful that each guest family could experience, especially going through one of the hardest times of their lives.

“Thank you to all of our volunteers, donors, board members, and team who allow us to operate 24/7 365 days a year. You have paid it forward to our families who in turn paid it forward to me in encouragement. The gift of encouragement cannot be valued, it’s priceless.”

Clay Osburne, CEO of Ronald McDonald House of Central Flordia
